The Whitesboro Fire Department
is a 100% volunteer fire department.
Serving our community for over 125 years as well as providing mutual aid to communities that surround our department, allows our men and women the opportunity to train and work with some of the best volunteer firefighters around using state of the art equipment 24/7.
Our Mission
Our History
We have served the village of Whitesboro and the Town of Whitestown for over 125 years. We started with our fire station on Moseley Street, progressing to our current station in 1969. The Whitesboro Fire Department is 100% volunteer. It provides 24-hour emergency response in fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. Our Department currently has 60 members under the direction of Fire Chief George Massarotti. Our mission is to provide emergency services in the best possible manner to our residents with the utmost care and state-of-the-art equipment. Our department prides itself on its public fire and life safety educational programs. The department has joined in with the Town of Whitestown and the Whitesboro Central School district in developing a Risk Watch Coalition, which is currently in place at Westmoreland Road Elementary.
Other programs that we feature include our smoke detector giveaway, Santa Claus Breakfast for the Needy, Santa in the Park, and various breakfast and barbecues. All proceeds are given back to the community in the line of new equipment and donations to multiple benefits and organizations.
