- Arson background check
- Driver’s license check
- Sexual offender registry check
- Contact personal references
Interview Scheduled
We will conduct a personal interview with prospective candidates within 30 days of receiving your application. During this session, you will:- Conduct a station tour
- Opportunity ask questions
- Learn more about the department and what we do
Becoming a Member
Once you’ve completed all the steps and are approved by the Membership Committee, we will introduce you as a new Whitesboro Volunteer Fire Department probationary member. New members will receive an orientation and a training schedule. Firefighters must take the mandatory training and enroll in New York State Firefighter 1 course and will be issued:- Station key
- Response pager
- Protective gear
